# Local usability improvements

These changes are in this local clone and the portfolio source download. They have not been pushed to GitHub.

## Run

## Changes

- Added a Qt-free CMake CLI target and build/run scripts.
- Updated MuPDF 1.28 callback compatibility while retaining older signatures.
- Added inspection mode and output overwrite protection.

## Verification and scope

CLI compiled with MuPDF 1.28.2. A two-page fixture retained both horizontal text lines and removed diagonal sample overlays. Inspect mode passed. GUI was not exercised.

Reproduce the PDF check with `python3 tests/smoke_cli.py` after building. It requires `pdftotext` from Poppler.
